Subscription, Billing, Cancellation & Refunds
Open the account menu from your avatar and choose Subscription. Sign-in is required because the page reads subscriptions, payment history, and the current credit balance for that account.
Read the page before making a change
The summary separates three values:
- Active counts recurring plans that are active within their current period.
- Subscriptions counts the PayPal and Stripe subscription records shown on the page.
- Credits is the current account balance, not a count of plans or payments.
Use Subscriptions for recurring plans. Use One-time payments for completed or attempted credit purchases; this list does not represent subscription renewals.
Select Refresh once when a provider status looks stale. The page synchronizes or reloads the available PayPal and Stripe records. Avoid pressing Refresh or a management action repeatedly while the first request is still running.
Understand a subscription card
Every card belongs to one provider and one subscription. It can show:
- plan tier, price, currency, and monthly/yearly interval;
- credits granted by that plan;
- provider and current status;
- renewal, access-until, period-end, or ended date;
- Details with start date, current period, next billing, and renewal count.
| Status shown | Meaning in the current UI |
|---|---|
| Active | The local record is active and its current period has not ended |
| Cancels at period end | Future renewal is off; access remains until the displayed period end |
| Trialing | The provider reports a trial state |
| Past due | The provider reports that payment is overdue |
| Paused | The provider reports that the plan is paused |
| Canceled or Expired | The recurring plan has ended |
| Not synced | AIMusicGen cannot safely manage the PayPal record from the current local state |
Do not combine the amount or dates from different cards when more than one subscription is present.
Cancel or resume a PayPal subscription
The PayPal card provides local management only when the subscription is synchronized and management is available.
To stop renewal:
- Select Cancel on the intended PayPal card.
- Read the confirmation date.
- Select Cancel subscription.
- Wait until the card shows Cancels at period end and Access until the expected date.
This schedules cancellation; it does not remove access immediately. Before the displayed period end, a scheduled cancellation can show Resume. Confirming Resume turns renewal back on and normal billing continues at the end of the current period.
If the card shows Not synced, Cancel and Resume stay unavailable. Use Refresh once; if the state remains unsynchronized, contact support with the subscription ID and the PayPal state.
Manage a Stripe subscription
Select Manage in Stripe on the correct card. AIMusicGen requests a Stripe customer-portal session and opens it in a new tab.
Complete the plan, payment-method, or cancellation action in Stripe. Then return to AIMusicGen and select Refresh to load the updated record. If the new tab is blocked, allow pop-ups for the official site and try the button once more.
The AIMusicGen card is the local account view; Stripe's portal is where Stripe management actions are completed.
Review one-time credit purchases
Open One-time payments. Each row can show the product, payment provider, purchase date, credits granted, amount, currency, and transaction status.
| Transaction status | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Pending | Payment has not reached a final state |
| Completed | The purchase completed |
| Failed | The purchase did not complete |
| Refunded | A refund was recorded |
| Disputed | The provider recorded a dispute |
Use Load more when older transactions exist. A one-time credit purchase does not create a recurring subscription, so it appears only in this tab.
If payment completed at the provider but credits or the transaction are missing, do not buy the same package again merely to refresh the page. Record the provider reference, amount, currency, time, product, and displayed credit balance.
Cancellation and refund are different requests
Canceling a subscription prevents a future renewal according to the provider state. It does not automatically reverse a charge that already completed.
The current published Refund Policy says a request must meet both conditions:
- it is submitted within 7 days of purchase; and
- no more than 5 songs have been generated using the service.
The policy says to email [email protected] with the account email and reason. It also says requests are reviewed within 3 business days, approved refunds return through the original payment method, and songs generated during that period are removed from the account.
These are policy terms, not an automatic in-product refund button. Read the current policy before requesting a refund because eligibility and legal terms can change.
Prepare a billing report
Use the registered account email and include:
- PayPal or Stripe;
- subscription ID or transaction/order reference;
- plan or one-time credit product;
- amount and currency;
- purchase or renewal date and time zone;
- status shown in AIMusicGen and, when relevant, the provider portal;
- what changed after one Refresh.
Never send a full card number, security code, password, or verification code. Continue with Contact Support for a complete report template.
Check commercial usage separately
An active paid plan can affect Commercial License eligibility, but the license page applies its own monthly/yearly and song-status rules. A subscription card alone is not the license PDF. Read Commercial License before publishing or monetizing generated work.
