Pink Swan

In a world painted black and white,

I bloom in colors that they try to fight.

A splash of pink on endless grey,

And they can't take that away.

They stare, they whisper, full of rage,

Unwilling to read my unwritten page.

But this pink is mine, a soft rebellion song,

Won't let them tell me it's all wrong.

I'm a pink swan

In a lake of black and white swans

And it gets fucking lonely

Cause they mock me, isolate me

So in love with hating

On what's different

Wings dipped in the softest pastel light,

Flying through shadows, out of their sight.

I chase the winds that set me free,

A sadly tender smile upon my face.
